"Can I predict my child's adult height without parents' heights?" Yes. If you don't have a birth-parent record or a bone age scan on hand, age-based estimation works off a different signal entirely: where your child currently sits on standard pediatric growth curves.
Children reach a known share of their final adult height at each age, and that share differs by sex because boys and girls hit growth spurts on different schedules. A typical 11-year-old boy, for instance, has already reached around 80% of his eventual adult height. At 145 cm, that puts his projected adult height near 181 cm.
The calculator applies this as a ratio, not a flat guess:
Predicted Adult Height (cm) = Current Height (cm) ÷ Height-Attained Ratio (Age, Sex)
Likely Growth Range = Predicted Height ± 6 cm
Ratio values are interpolated between age anchors, so the estimate moves smoothly month to month instead of jumping on a birthday.
